BioI am an artist working primarily in watercolors and soft pastels, but I do experiment with other mediums from time to time. In 2006 I’ve started a pet portrait business, which I paint people’s pets, from their photos, in soft pastel. Even though I’ve been painting and drawing for years, I’ve decided to start this journal to chronicle my adventures, struggles, and triumphs in the commercial art world, and in my own personal art.
I'm also a big collector, not so much like an antiques dealer, more like a crow. I'll take home anything if I like it. Seashells, leaves, flowers, stoness, glass, wood & metal items, feathers, marbles, pens, buttons and pins, tickets, reciepts and papers. I keep every note and card people give or send me. I also purchase things to add to my collections - pez, china, glass, gargoyles, books, magazines, prints, pottery, jewelery, coffee mugs, postcards, stamps, christmas tree ornaments, cheesey tourist souveniers. My collections come and go as my tastes change. I no longer collect mice, bandanas, lighters, or matchbooks.
